Reasons you may not have considered for recruiting on LinkedIn

Ere.net recently composed a list of 20 reasons to use LinkedIn for recruiting.  While LinkedIn has obviously become an important tool for many recruiters, it doesn’t hurt to reiterate why we love it.  Some of the reasons listed include:

  • The ability to reach out to passive, as well as active, job seekers.  Though, we’ll point out, you can find passive candidates on other social media as well, like Facebook and Twitter.
  • A growing candidate base. LinkedIn continues to garner more and more users.
  • Quality, not just quantity. Your top performers are more likely to have a profile on LinkedIn.
  • Profiles are easy to compare and search. Perfect for a recruiter.
  • LinkedIn alerts recruiters to the signs of a user about to enter “job search mode,” so you can reach out first.

The list continues, and you can read it in its entirety here.  We urge you to do so, as even though you may be using LinkedIn, you may not be aware of all the benefits of which you can take advantage.
