Who is using what social media to recruit, and where?

U.S. recruiters are among the most active recruiters in the world using social media to source talent.  This recent report from Bullhorn looks at social recruiting by region and industry with some interesting findings.

Recruiters post more jobs on LinkedIn than Facebook or Twitter, according to Bullhorn’s Social Recruiting in the U.S. report.

Out of 300,000 jobs posted by 77,500 recruiters using Bullhorn Reach to manage social media services and job postings, here’s the breakdown:

  • 77% of posting go to LinkedIn
  • 54% go to Twitter
  • 25% go to Facebook

These finding span regions and industries, but jobs in the restaurant, advertising, and nonprofit industries and the Northeast region made up the largest group of social media recruiters.  Technology and healthcare aren’t far behind.
